“I came to UpRise because she wanted to finish what I started.” In just three months, LaKeshia did exactly that — passing her Clinical Medical Assistant exam and stepping fully into her calling in healthcare alongside her daughter, RaMiah. Today, she serves patients at Ascension Saint Thomas, balancing administrative and clinical responsibilities while continuing to grow. She’s currently earning her Medical Front Office Admin Specialist certification through her employer’s tuition program — expanding her skills in billing, coding, and office administration.
