We’ll focus on your personal development during a five-week Training Camp, helping you to reach your potential and develop personally so you can succeed professionally.

Phase Two: Education and Certification

You choose a career track and complete a certification or pre-apprenticeship program. Programs can be completed in as little as three weeks.

Phase Three: Career Launch

With a new certification or apprentice-based skill, we work with you to land the first job in your new career.

“I felt like I would work in food service forever. I didn’t see how I would get a career. I wanted to change my life, and become career focused, but I needed help learning how to do that. I now have the skills to work as an administrative professional. I attended school and became a better person, and I now feel hopeful about my job and my life.”

- Rachel King, Peer Support Specialist with Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Firefly Program

Career Opportunities

"I learned that my past doesn’t define me, and I discovered that it is really never too late. My family and I have shalom, and my hope and dream for the future is to give back to others.”

- Vincent Noble, C.D.L. Driver, Parman Energy

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, many people work part-time, or even full time, while in our program. But you need to set your schedule to allow class attendance during the week.

  • You need to provide childcare during weekdays when you are in training camp or earning your certification. While we don’t provide childcare, we can connect you with a community partner that may be able to help you with childcare.

  • We are a drug free program. You will be disqualified if you test positive for any hard drugs. If you test positive for THC (marijuana) you must agree to stop using to be eligible for education and employment in our program, as many of our employers drug test. We conduct random drug screenings throughout Training Camp, mirroring what an Employer would do once you are hired.

  • No! Our education scholarships and monthly stipends are our gift to you and you do not need to pay it back. We want to help you get ahead.

  • Training Camp is five weeks, Monday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Education schedules vary depending on what career track you pick. You should expect 15 to 25 hours per week of classes/education.

  • We are a background friendly program. Your background will not disqualify you with the exception of a sexual offense, because we share a campus with a school for young children.

  • Stable housing means that you will have a roof over your head and know where you are going to sleep each night. It does not mean that you own a home or have your name on a lease. Examples of stable housing would be living with a friend or family member, even on their couch, so long as you are welcome to stay there. The following situations would NOT be considered stable: living in your car, on the street, or living in a shelter (except for a residential program where you are assigned your own room or bed).
