About Us

Nearly 1 in 6 Nashville residents live in poverty, amidst the lowest minimum wage in the country. Even people working full time can't rise above the poverty line.

We create an environment for self-sufficiency by connecting unemployed and underemployed individuals with training, education and mentorships that results in the ability to earn a living wage starting at $13 or more per hour.

UpRise is a one-year development program for Nashville adults who are ready to start a new career path and improve their financial condition. Are you ready to build a foundation for a thriving vocation?

One job at a time.

"I have been believing God would provide a way for me to provide for my daughter. When I got accepted into this program, it was the first time I could lay my head down at night and know EXACTLY how I was going to do it. This is a major part of me being able to raise my daughter on my own and to build a life my sons are proud of!"
- Tara, UpRise Nashville Fall 2017 Class
