We are a ministry of West End Community Church. We believe that we all suffer from some form of poverty, whether it is spiritual, emotional, relational or material. Solving the problem begins with intentional engagement and significant relationships, as we are called to travel together "on the same road and in the same direction." Ephesians 4:4.

Carole Peterson
Carole is the Executive Director. Carole worked as a litigator and a federal prosecutor in the Major Crimes Section of the United States Attorney’s Office for nearly 15 years, before leaving the public sector to teach. She is an active volunteer in multiple facets of the community, and is passionate about helping people who want to work provide for themselves, their families and give back to their communities. Carole loves to solve problems and bring people together, opportunities that present themselves daily in the workplace, and also at home in her role as a wife and a mom of two. She loves a good family game night and any food she does not have to cook.

Jeff Darnell
Jeff is the Director of Programming and Training Camp. Jeff uses his experiences of being a teacher, a principal, a pastor, and a coach to create safe, encouraging, and empowering environments. He has enjoyed living in several different places since growing up in Nashville, but he loves his hometown the best, and he is so grateful to be part of a team that is learning how to love and serve Nashvillians who find themselves on the margins. Jeff enjoys spending time with his guitar playing old songs and writing new ones, watching things grow in his garden, and being with his wife and kids especially.

Jack Foster

Jack serves as Staff Counselor and Ally Coach.  He is an ordained Teaching Elder (Pastor) in the Presbyterian Church in America, having served as a Congregational Care Pastor.  Jack loves connecting people and believes justice is connected to grace and to the gospel.  He continues to pastor and counsel people along the journey of life. In his late thirties, Jack came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord.  Before that he lived a life of worldliness, which resulted in a multitude of harmful consequences.  Jack praises God that he is now “in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.  All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5: 17, 18.  Jack is married to Jenny Martin Foster, a former missionary in South Africa.
