Carole worked as a litigator and a federal prosecutor in the Major Crimes Section of the United States Attorney’s Office for nearly 15 years before leaving the public sector to teach. She is an active volunteer in multiple facets of the community and is passionate about helping people who want to work provide for themselves and their families and give back to their communities.
Jeff uses his experiences of being a teacher, a principal, a pastor and a coach to create safe, encouraging and empowering environments. He loves his hometown of Nashville and is grateful to be part of a team that loves and serves Nashvillians who find themselves on the margins.
Jackis an ordained Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America, serving as a Congregational Care Pastor. He loves connecting people, and pastoring and counseling them along the journey of life. Jack is married to Jenny Martin Foster, a former missionary in South Africa.
A recent graduate of Mississippi State University, Tyesha studied biology with a pre-med concentration. While in college, she participated in Young Life, where she developed a passion for fostering relationships with teenagers, sharing the gospel and watching teens grow in their faith.
Prior to joining the UpRise team, Guin was a career coach with the Nashville Career Advancement Center for 15 years and has a heart for helping people identify their gifts and career goals, then helping them blaze a path to achieve those goals. She has a master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling from Mississippi State University.
Courtney comes to UpRise having worked in development at one of Oklahoma's longest-serving non-profits. She was at the helm of music industry media relations for over a decade. Courtney is grateful to be on a team striving to provide life-changing, communal opportunity for Nashvillians.
